Safetynet credit claim

So after reading on here about mis-sold payday loans I decided to look at the ways they were mis-sold. I have an account with safetynet credit for about 18 months and got stuck in a cycle of they took what I had borrowed plus interest every time I was paid (monthly) started off borrowing a £100 just to cover day to day living. But soon they up your credit limit and its easy (but stupid) to get stuck in this cycle, anyway i started a claim on resolver and within 24 hours they have replied with an offer to write off the amout owed and offered a refund of £250. Bear in mind for about 12 months my interest has been about £100 a month, would you accept this offer to just get out of the cycle or decline and try and get back what has been mis-sold for 18 months. Thanks.

They could withdraw their offer at any time and you’re left paying.
Saying that, if they’re offering they either have something to hide or can’t be bothered with the FOS hassle, of which they will get charged.
I’d take it and ask them to remove ALL history on your CF

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of accepting. So they will write off £497 and refund me a further £250 into my bank. I was shocked at how quick they responded and offered this, I was also thinking they must have something to hide to offer this within a day of the complaint. They also stated in their email that they will remove all history off my credit file.

    Hi,

I would take there offer as referring it to the FOS will be at least a 6 month wait before you get anywhere if I’m honest.

and by that time there’s doubts they’ll still be trading.

accept it as a full and final resolution to your complaint providing they remove all records from your credit file and clear any and all outstanding debt and redress you £250.

easy done, learn your lesson now.

I have learnt. I wouldnt want to get in a cycle of that again. But you can see how easy it happens to people after it happens to yourself. Ive emailed them accepting the offer. So ive not got to repay £497 and a £250 refund, which I think is a good outcome alltogether, plus the records removed off the credit file can only be a good thing. Thanks
  • Any advice on what to write on resolver,I'm in a very similar predicament
  • You write your complaint reasons.

Even better, send them directly to the company
