blue_eyed_girl123 said:For lunches could you batch cook good freezer meals - chilli, stews (P1nch of N0m do one called Chicken Cacciatore, so good) and take one of them if you feel like it. Also, look at bento boxes for cold lunch options? Or soups, although I never find soups on their own especially filling on their own.1

Morning MSE'rs
Up and at them this morning, been and done the food shop for the week and came in just over target which is fine as I picked up some school bits for the kiddos for next week. Although our snack cupboard has never looked so full
First load of washing is done, going to plough through and get it all done as quickly as possible. I also want to hoover and get the downstairs areas mopped at some point.
Right - I should really get the kettle on for a quick coffee and then get my bottom in gear x1 -
I wish that my day was as productive as yours!!Total debt June 2021 = £24359
Estimated debt free date = October 20241 -
If it helps - all I got done really was the washing 😅
I actually whittled away a lot of the evening having a poorly timed nap on the sofa so at the moment I’m in bed trying to persuade myself that I’m tired 😂0 -
Daily check-in here, been playing with my sewing machine for most of the day so far getting to grips with it, but I've washed our bedding, just need to empty the stepkid's wash bins and all of the washing is done (for now, anyway)
Got a timer going off in around 5 minutes to prompt me to get off of my bottom and have a tidy up - our dining room table always turns into a bomb site whenever I start sewing, I need some better organisation, really
Will run the hoover round quickly and use the power mop rather than getting the full on mop and bucket out, that'll be enough to keep things looking vaguely presentable. I think I'll have a quick whizz round with the Febreze, then I'll probably go back to sitting at my sewing machine
Other than that, all that awaits me this evening is a fun-filled ironing session to get myself ready for the week!0 -
Oooo Chistmas crafts, is it that time already!!!! I love any thing crafty, I wish I was good enough to sell to earn some pennies, but alas I am not!

Happy bank holiday!
One more day until I can start updating my September budget and transactions in YNAB
Didn't tackle the ironing last night so that's a job for today at some point. Other than that, it's going to be a day of watching survey sites like a hawk and looking around online for other potential side hustles.
For now, it's morning coffee time and checking that things that need to be paid, have been paid. Need to run out at some point and get some wrapping paper for OH's birthday gifts - he has a new tech item and a football t-shirt then whatever the kids choose when I take them out to get some little bits and pieces. Nothing extravagant this year by any means.
I think I will also tell OH we should set a simple budget for each other, the kids will cost enough without having to worry about each other. I might also look into homemade gifts I can do for friends and family!0 -
Morning forumites
Can't believe that it is September already! Although, this does mean I've been able to updated YNAB now and my first direct debit for the month has gone out, so all good there!
Looks like another bright day outside today, so hoping to get out into the fresh air for a walk or a bike ride0 -
I clearly have been uber tired when writing my last few posts as reading back, they don't make an awful lot of sense
Nice weather here today, good to get some washing out to air dry and be able to get more donedid a teeny tiny survey on PA this morning so I'm halfway to the £5 cash out threshold
I'm counting today as a NSD as all I need to do is put some fuel in my car, no spends required other than that. I need to get the kiddos to wrap OH's presents and write out their cards tonight at some point whilst he is busy, it's not until the week after next but I'd rather just get it all sorted
Got a few manual debt payments to make, then I can update my figures in the Xmas challenge0
