Section 75 completed - Vendor then returned the money 3 months later

Earlier this year I completed a section 75 claim with my credit card company against a purchase that never arrived. I have noted this morning that the vendor, 3 months on has now also refunded my original purchase amount to the credit card. What is the process in this circumstance, do the credit card company monitor such payments to the cancel their own repayment of the claimed amount or do I need to make them aware?

I would make them aware of it and then let them decide what to do.

Did you have to sign a letter and return to card provider before the money was put back in your account?
As it is possible they actioned a chargeback.
You need to speak to your card provider to see what has happened.

I agree with above answers - put the money to one side until your credit card company get in touch.

Do not refund the company direct if asked to do so by the company - tell them to get in touch with their bankers.
