My wife will start receiving £73.21 and looking at my pension letter it says the following
Basic state pension: 122.17
Pre 97 additoinal state pensiopn £113.50
Less contracted out deduction of £77.52 Total £35.98
Graduates retirement benefit £7.91
Age Addition £0.25
Total £166.31
So is the £122.17 figure they calculate against? So it should be roughly £73.30 ?

Note that if those State Pension amounts (£166.31 and £73.21) are your only income you may be entitled to Pension Credit to top your income up to £265.20/week.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.2 -
I make it £73.30 as well.Suspect it may be because your wife is starting her pension part way through the financial year?

OP's COD of £77.52 points to a reasonable occupational pension on top of his State pension.calcotti said:

I am not going to grumble over £5 over the whole year. I just wanted to make sure it was correct.1 -
