Anybody got Samsung heat pump dryer

Hi, we are looking to get a new dryer and need to get a Samsung one so I can stack it on top of Samsung washing machine. Google is full if mixed reviews so wanted to ask if anybody has one and will they recommend it. Would appreciate if you could share model number if possible.

Thanks for your help.

Does your current dryer use a heat pump?  We swapped from condenser to heat pump and wish we hadn't.

For us the big downside with the heat pump is the time it takes to dry a load of washing.

Condenser would take 45 minues to an hour.  Heat pump takes at least 2, hours and even when it stops some clothes may not be dry, despite it being set to max drying level.
  • In domestic setting heat pump is nowhere near as good or economical as advertising makes it. It takes a lot longer to use dryer once from cold compared to vented or condenser dryer, running cost saving is little in real world too as in domestic use , you almost always use dryer only once from cold so little saving in energy by creating less heat is replaced by longer time spinning that takes quite a large chunk of that saved energy back and cost of dryer is so much higher compared to decent same make, same range condenser - it would need to be used 20 years + to get anywhere near to break even  money wise. In commercial settings where dryer runs all day long and mostly uses gas for heating  - that's a completely different story . I'd say get Samsung condenser so it fits the same way as the heat pump one you wanted and little extra you pay in energy is offset but quite a large saving in upfront cost as they are considerably cheaper, also as vented or condenser dryers are simpler, there is quite a lot less to go wrong so are more reliable.
