Ryanair flights to Majorca in October- when to cancel?

HI, in October 2019 (pre covid!) i booked flights for our family to go to Majorca in October 2020, we now want to cancel these as can't run risk of quarantine due to work etc. If I cancel just now we will lose full cost, should I hang on and hope Ryanair may cancel or is that very unlikely? Is there any way for us to recoup the costs? Any info appreciated.
Cheers

No point cancelling, may as well stand your ground and see if they cancel and you are refunded, though knowing Ryanair, you'll get your refund back Summer 2021. It's like a Mexican stand-off.0

Pointless cancelling yourself.0

As above. Ryanair flights are non-refundable so you have absolutely nothing to gain by cancelling yourself.
There's a chance (however small) that Ryanair will cancel, in which case you'd be due a refund.0 -
Ok thanks,I'll wait it out.🤞.0

If it's not cancelled, move the flight to a different date, buy some time.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
