  • Its on the link provided above....

    d) a change of UK departure airport except between:

    • The London airports: Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted, London City and Southend
Thanks, appreciate that. :) I missed it.
I'm a bit of a nervous booker at the best of times - I once booked the wrong villa and had to ring them up to see if they'd swap it (they did!). But I can't do that now and so there seems much more than usual to keep an eye on. Which is why I thought a package might be easier/safer.

If an airport is change is the only inconvenience people suffer I would say they are doing quite well at the moment. I should have flown back from a 2 week cruise today.

I agree, not sure I'd want to be on a cruise mind? :)
But it's something I hadn't realised and it would also upset any parking/overnight hotel booking. So as I normally choose the cheapest deal I'd want to be sure they were cancellable/refundable, as they often aren't.
Can I ask then, if they had to say change the flight part of a package, from say Bristol to London Luton would that mean I could cancel? But not if it was Bristol changed to Cardiff?

Different companies will have different groups of airports. But the answer to your question with this company would be yes.

It was more the point I have totally lost a 2 week foreign holiday. I would have loved them to have moved the departure airport from Birmingham to East Midlands and that be the only inconvenience i suffered this summer instead.
  • Thanks @bradders1983
I thought I missed seeing the London airports but on the link from above which I followed then this is the info I see:

    (d) a change of UK departure airport except between:

The South Coast airports: Southampton, Bournemouth and Exeter

The South Western airports: Cardiff and Bristol

The Midlands airports: Birmingham, East Midlands and Doncaster Sheffield

The Northern airports: Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds Bradford

The North eastern airports: Newcastle and Teesside

The Scottish airports: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Prestwick and Aberdeen

(Took a while to copy that as they seem to have blocked people copy & pasting!)

Trust me, London airports are grouped on there. Relevant bits marked in red ..

  • Again thanks @bradders1983 My copy & paste is from looking on my laptop - easier to see the pictures! I've just looked on my mobile and I see the info you posted above. So two different 'booking conditions'!

I suspect your computer is doing something odd and taking that line out, the URL is the same no matter what device you are on.

No, @smallblueplanet is right - the full version of the booking conditions, viewed by default on full-function operating systems, is https://www.villaplus.com/booking-conditions and does exclude the line about the London airports.

The mobile version at https://m.villaplus.com/booking-conditions includes the reference to London airports.

You'd hope that this is some innocent mistake but there are definitely differences between the two versions of the page....

Interesting that holidays are less accommodating than booking direct with airlines. BA have moved a lot of flights from Gatwick to Heathrow and are far more helpful when flight times have changed.
