So can you explain why yours now don't send readings to your current supplier in that case?SPlatten said:They may have been true initially, it certainly isn't the case now.
Quick clue: You have already been given the answer three times now

No they can't - SMETS1 meters go dumb when you change suppliers. My SMETS1 were installed by Eon in 2014 and I've been with gbEnergy, Flow, Octopus and GNE none of which can read remotelySPlatten said:That isn't true, the supplier can access the smart meter remotely.
Your pretty IHD may still work but that's all.
Some SMETS2 (installed in the last 12 months) can be read by some but by no means all..
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Yes,thats worked really well for you hasnt it?.If meter readings arent supplied either by a meter,or by yourself then estimated bills are issued which are likely higher than your use.Perhaps having fallen into the same "trap" several times this should be telling you theres a problem somewhere,no?.SPlatten said:They may have been true initially, it certainly isn't the case now.

Before the smart meter I would always submit readings, the issue is here that bills were not estimated either, they were not estimating and were not taking meter readings, just issuing there own plucked from the sky fixed valuation which lead to a build up of dept.0
