How soon should I apply for JSA after redundancy

Hi,
I was made redundant on 21st August 2020. In addition to my statutory redundancy pay, I will also receive 3 months pay (in lieu of notice)
Do I apply for Job Seekers allowance now (as of 22/08/2020) or do I have to wait 3 months (claim from 22/11/2020)?

you won't be entitled to JSA until your notice period expires
