Just eat won't help and won't refund me

Just Eat? - Just keep your money and refuse a refund more like!
I've just spent over an hour trying to order a curry online using my JE account balance. It used to work no problem. Now the payment screen doesn't offer an option to use my balance. I've been on the chat with 2 of their customer support people (Wilson & Joshua) and I've tried their suggestions - clear the cache, restart your laptop, use the app on your phone, use a different browser and absolutely no joy. I've been to several different restaurants in Buxton and the same thing happens so I reckon its an issue on their website - but they couldn't help and wouldn't refund me the balance on my account. So thats it. I can't spend my own account balance and they won't return it. I'm never using these robbing ba***ds again - oh and did you now its cheaper to order direct anyway? I spoke to the curry house and told them the problem and they knocked off the 'JE service charge'. Support local businesses and don't go thru JE! Very disappointed and disgruntled!

JE should be used as a directory.  When you find a takeaway you want to order from call them and order.

Yes I did, thank you. But others might not, so good of you to point it out.

Their live chat are useless. The only way I got any joy with an issue I had was to complain on social media.

Even if it's not cheaper JE takes a cut so your local doesn't make as much on your order.

The takeaway should not be offering cheaper prices to order direct and if that is the case you can report it here and get another voucher that you can't use ;) :

I think on reflection that the discount isn't their normal policy. I think the takeaway owner took pity on me when I told him the hassle I'd been through, just to spend my own money through JE.

UPDATE: So I tried again this morning and finally got through to a customer support staff (Anna K.) who understood the problem and was able to help. Apparently, you have to choose the 'pay by credit card' option and then the option to use your balance is shown in a small box to the right. |The first 2 support staff didn't know this and there are no instructions to point this out so I've been properly annoyed, as the support staff have experienced. Will try again in a couple of days and see what happens.

In every payment method it has a "I have a discount voucher" option.

OP never mentioned a discount voucher.

That's nice, but it's not what the OP asked for :)
