Getting a new contract while waiting for mortgage - a bad idea?

I have received a mortgage offer today (yay) but I am still a little paranoid they'll take it off me. I know if I get a new broadband contract they'll credit check me - might this change anything re my mortgage? I have had on-going problems with Now TV broadband since I've been with them and now I really need to be able to have access to internet for work. I am thinking of getting a 4G mobile broadband. Should I be safe in getting one now as I have my offer?
