Now TV as PAYG

I've just got a NOW TV stick with one month packages for Entertainment and Movies (approx £24 from Amazon) Obviously you have to set up an account with payment details for the access to continue beyond the passes it came with. I'm not bothered about the films but the Entertainment package is my only way of watching the HBO programmes from Sky Atlantic. I wondered if it was possible to operate now TV as a PAYG type system. I see passes on offer in various shops and online so can you cancel the subscription but still access it by buying passes when they're on offer or just when there's something on you really want to watch? I'm on VM and have Netflix and Amazon Prime, I don't really want to switch to Sky and I pay enough in monthly subs as it is. Has anyone operated it this way? Apologies if it's come up before but I did scroll through 11 pages on posts and couldn't see anything relevant.

I have a nowtv box . Never subscribe unless they have a blinding offer , currently on 6 months sky cinema at £2.99 a month.
I cancelled my £22 a month sky cinema package ages ago , either buy cheap passes off Amazon or eBay for nowtv if I really wanted to watch something.
They often do 6 and 12 months passes at half price on their website for the entertainment pass
Cancellation of a pass often automatically generates a bespoke offer , either take it or carry on . Ignoring the bespoke offer sometimes prompts an even better email offer but that's random

I've got a diary note to cancel the subscription at the end of the passes I got with the stick so I'll see if they contact me or just look for offers for future passes. Thanks very much for your reply.0

Another good deal to get the max out of NowTV is to buy their monthly passes with Tesco points @ 3x the value that you would get by simply using the points in store. If you're smart enough to be able to combine this with a NTV discount, even better0
