Due to my hours being permanently reduced I made an application for Uc mainly to help with my housing costs I was wondering from the initial claim on average how soon can you apply for an advanced payment

As soon as you've made your claim for UC and you can apply on your journal. https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/get-an-advance-first-paymentHave you used a benefits calculator to check if you're entitled to any UC? The loan you have will be based on your maximum entitlement but it doesn't mean you'll recieve that maximum entitlement. Earnings received during your assessment period will reduce your UC by 63% if you don't have a work allowance.Any loan you receive will need to be repaid back and your future UC payments will be reduced.
