  • Who'd want to fix rates at less than inflation anyway? You are paying someone to use your money.
Anyone who wants to keep there money safe and cant risk losing capital?

    You aren’t paying - don’t be silly.

As an early adopter of ZOPA I first invested in 2006 and was invited to several of their 'Meet the founders & staff Parties' (due to that status rather than amount invested!) I find it interesting that ZOPA is now a bank.

Its original USP was that it cut out the middle man - ie the bank.

"We couldn't beat them, so we joined them!"

ZOPA threw out most of its USPs along the way (like sandbags from a hot-air balloon).

Remember what ZOPA stood for? (Zone Of Possible Agreement) -- that was flushed long ago. It became "The theoretical expected estimated target rate you will take, which may or may not actually happen" -- which doesn't make a snappy company name.
