Lol. It wasn’t 3k for the bed. It was 3k for the mattress and bed.

Why the snobbery at someone spending £3k on a bed and mattress? He can do as he pleases with his money.

Considering we spend ~1/3 of our lives in bed, I'd be happy to invest a decent sum in a good quality bed if I had the cash to do it. It'd work out to be pennies/hr over its lifetime...

looked at a sofa in F village husband liked it i did not, so told them i wanted daughter to see it. The offer was till end of day and was told if i signed then i would have the offer in place  i could cancel within 2 days without any fees. after this there would be a fee of 20% His commission would be  secured. Went back next day canceled order got deposit back straight away. So they  all do this, but you should have been informed by the seller of this and that they would charge extra after this. It would have been in the T&C's of the form you signed in shop. Now i always read them as soon as i get home in case i change my mind.

Yeah, it’s in the small print but we definitely weren’t told in the store. It was only when I called up they told us.

If it's £3K for the two items, but you're only cancelling one, how come they want 20% of the price of both?
If, say the bed was £2K and the mattress £1K, surely £400 would be nearer to the mark?
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

Having said that, in my experience, it's usually the mattress that costs the money.

Yeah, it’s actually the other way round for the cost, but I was referring the cancelling the lot. Considering they haven’t made the stuff yet, it just seems a  ridiculous price to pay.
