Concert rescheduled - am i entitled to a refund?

Options
We had booked tickets to a concert which was meant to be on 8th August 2020 in London. However this has been re-scheduled due to COVID to May 2021. This was originally a wedding gift to my sister as it was the day before her wedding.
So we are now no longer able to attend as we would have been travelling over from N. Ireland to attend, and do not want to go on the new date. We just want a refund. However the organiser (Eventbrite) have said they are not giving refunds as it has been reschedued.
Do we have any way of insisting on a refund?

  • I requested refund through both Ticketmaster and see tickets help pages for similar scenario as new dates clashed. Had no issues with either

What do the original booking terms you accepted say?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Eventbrite is the ticketing platform not the organiser. What does the organiser say?
