Starling Bank not reporting to Experian

I'm thinking of closing my TSB account and going full Starling as I only really need 1 current account, only problem is that Starling don't report to Experian, so if for example I go to apply for a loan or a credit card would the lender see on my credit report that I have no current account and then reject me? Might sound dumb so please forgive me :)

Anyone gone full starling and ran into any problems like that?

  • Having just a digital bank may cause you more problems than Starling not reporting your conduct to a CRA.
By all means open a Starling account but keep the TSB one open too - a bricks and mortar bank will help you should you have problems.
If your credit rating is good anyway it should not make much difference.

Not all financial institutions report to all the credit reference agencies. Free reports from:
    MSE credit club
    Clearscore
    Credit Karma

Never rely on just one bank in case there's a glitch, you will be without access to funds.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Starling report to all the CRAs.
My Starling account is listed on Experian.

Maybe contact them ask? Wrong address?

Interestingly I just checked and they're not reporting to Experian for me either.  Not really bothered about it but doesn't look like the OPs situation is a one-off and all the data they have on me is correct.

Don't switch your TSB account to Starling. Switch it to the Halifax and earn yourself a free £100 switching bonus.
Also, as mentioned above, it's a very good idea to have more than one current account.
  • Discussed on another forum where they too confirm Starling not appearing in Experian.
