Hi I was wondering if anyone could help.
I applied for universal credits as a single parent and was due to be paid in 6 days.
Me and my child’s father decided to move in together. I reported the change and it has now been set up as a joint claim
will I still receive the payment I was due or will this be re assessed for another 4 weeks?
thanks

Date you started new single claim ?Date you reported living with a partner ?Depends on whether you reported the change before or after the assessment end date. If you reported the change before end of assessment period, then payment may be delayed if they need to verify your partners details. If you reported change after end of assessment period, the statement as a single claimant may have already been produced, so you will get a payment on the due date.Any payment will of course take into consideration earnings and circumstances.Send a journal asking for update on current position of the claim. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

You will be treated as a couple from the start of the assessment period in which you reported the change. Whether or not you are entitled to anything will depend on your joint income and circumstances.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
