Hi all
need your help. Flight back in March cancelled. Only vouchers offered by Alitalia. No refund option. Vouchers emailed. Rang back to have refund through visa and were told that since vouchers had been issued, they couldn’t do anything. We could contact them if however, there were problems using the vouchers. Tried to book vouchers and were told we need to ring a number accessible only if you are in Italy so not possible as we live in the uk. Rang bank and they said to open a dispute to apply for refund under article 75. Did that and they replied they can’t do anything as I should have made a claim within 120 of booking the flights. No one mentioned this before. Any suggestions?

What is the phone number that is only accessible in Italy that can not be dialled from the U.K? It seems very strange that Alitalia would set up a system to issue credit vouchers, presumably for a worldwide customer base, yet not have a way to use them unless you were in Italy.0

If you accepted the vouchers, then you cannot subsequently claim a refund.
The S75 window is from date of booking or scheduled date of service provision, but it seems even with the latter, you are out of time for that option. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
129 days is the time limit for a chargeback.
S75 doesn't have that time limit but only applies to a credit card, not a debit card0
