Find someone else to do the work. Someone who has already proved difficult and will now bear a grudge is best avoided and certainly not paid to do work in your home.

Yeah - I have already made clear that he is not welcome back on my property ever again. Reported him to the Gas Safe register people too. I can imagine how more vulnerable people than myself - elderly people on their own for example - could be easily scared into parting with their money to people like this.Norman_Castle said:Find someone else to do the work.
