insurance: Travel to FCO non-exempt countries - are all claims void or just COVID 19 related ones?

Malta is in the FCO non-exempt list and all non essential is advised against. Travel Insurance websites, under the auspices of Covid 19 advice, state that any claims resulting from travel to Malta and other non exempt places, would be void. Does this mean if, for example, i visit and lost my passport / camera, or broke my leg (or anything non-CV19 related) that my travel insurance would be similarly void / voidable? Or is it void specifically for CV 19 related claims?

You will have to read your policy. Most policies will state that travel to a country against FCO advice will void either all your over, or certain aspects of it. Will vary by provider.0
