E: 26/08 Win a self-catering break for six at a cottage in the New Forest
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize:
The winner and up to five guests will enjoy a three-night self-catering break at Undercastle Cottage, a secluded, half-timbered thatched house on the banks of the Hampshire Avon in the New Forest.
Set down a private track with no other houses in sight, this luxury cottage is backed by trees and has half a mile of exclusive fishing rights on a river famed for its barbel, chub, pike and trout.
Two of the bedrooms are in the main house, one more is across the patio in the airy fishing lodge and there is an open fire in the living room to keep things toasty in cold weather.
Not surprisingly, there’s plenty of wildlife to watch out for. New Forest ponies and deer often wander by, and if you’re quiet, you may see otters in the river.
The prize must be taken between November 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, subject to availability, and excluding Valentine’s Day weekend as well as December 19 to January 3.
