Occupiers consent and postponement deed

Hi all advice required please
My new hubby and myself are purchasing a new property bottom line is I didn't really want to be on mortgage as I will be putting in half upon the sale of my sole previous property and plan to also clear any debt I have to start with a clean slate 😊 so getting a joint mortgage would probably been a nightmare as well , I have on paper gifted the 50% to my husband which I have had to provide to the bank on the agreement that we have wills drawn up b4 the completion just in case of death etc etc then as soon as we have completed will have my name added to the deeds (question 1) is this the most sensible option ie add name to deeds also is there any other option ?? Security wise (question 2) just receiced occupiers consent and postponement deed which states that 1.4 the occupier will not maintain any right of interest in the property's and will immediately on request by the bank vacate the property ?
My husband will be taken out half the property price on mortgage
Just concerned god forbid that if anything happened b4 my name was on the deeds o could be left pennyliss and homeless so just need some safe guards in place b4 we move . Thanks all so far

You won't be added to the ownership without being added to the mortgage. You will need to purchase jointly with a joint mortgage, otherwise another route should be considered.I am a mortgage broker. Can I not be added to the mortgage deeds after the house has been purchased?0

Add yourself to the mortgage and title deeds. No need to create problems for yourself.0

Not without the lenders permission. They have 1st charge on the property so any change to the title has to be run past them. They won't want people named as owners of the property they have a debt on if they can't chase them for that debtMRSG100 said:Can I not be added to the mortgage deeds after the house has been purchased?0 -
If you (and the lender) are both happy with you doing that, then why not just do it from the start? It's not clear what you're trying to achieve or what advice you've already had, though it seems odd for a lender to accept that you're "gifting" your money for the purchase despite the fact you're going to be living there.MRSG100 said:Can I not be added to the mortgage deeds after the house has been purchased?0
