team knowhow care plan refuse to fix my tv

Hi, I'm looking for the advice regarding appealing process regarding my care plan. I was watching my TV and it's suddenly switched off. I called Team Knowhow and they collected my TV. I've received a message today that my TV will be send back unrepaired. They told me that the damage was caused by severe weather condition - thunderstorm. I cannot understand it as the weather on that day (10th of August) was warm and sunny and there was no thunderstorm. I think that their decision is unfair. Did anyone appealing before and is it worth or it will be a waste of time? Thanks in advance

It's possible that a previous close lightning strike (maybe days before) damaged the TV causing it to fail later. You would need to get the TV inspected by a independent expert, however if the damage was done by a lightning strike your only recourse would be to claim from your house insurance.

There was no thunderstorms in the region for months. Is it possible that telly will work for months after lightning damage?
I'm devastated as it was only 4 year old. High-end LG Oled, I paid a small fortune, bought the insurance and now I've lost everything. I will ask for an independent report once they will bring TV back

You have real evidence from the met office of that ??
Might be better to use Consumer Rights against the vendor not warranty / insurance .
