Can I get some opinions on current accounts?

I'm looking for a simple current account that's going to have around £2,000 on it at any one time. It's for my everyday spending, doesn't need any bells and whistles. I used to have the Santander Student Acc back when it was good, and then I had the Graduate Acc, now I'm on their usual basic 1,2,3 account.

Unless you end up with a current account paying a decent interest rate (and you'd need two to accommodate £2K), it would be worth considering using a savings account for some of that balance, assuming £2K is the minimum during the month rather than the maximum....0 -
You might consider TSB Classic Plus - it would pay 1.5% on up to £1500.

You might also consider a NS&I Direct Saver for £500 - it pays 1% and you can move money in and out as required.
