MM, sorry you have another wait.
Bella, Im sorry to hear your news.
TA, what a nightmare, enjoy your trips out.
I've been MIA because for most of the week I've not been getting on the laptop till late. But it's for a good reason, baby wrangling, he's such a joy atm. He's still not sleeping brilliantly so I've been trying to give Laura time to have more rest.15 -
Bella love and hugs to you and the family as others have said your mum would have thought what would be best for her
MM sorry the op didn't happen
Saw my bestie yesterday socially distance so lovely to see her after so long left DH at the hotel as he seems to have gained the hump

Morning all
Been raining in the night but clearing up now ans the sun is trying to come out, I hope it stays nice as we have my sister and her dh coming round tonight for a bbq to celebrate my sisters Birthday which will be nice,so we need to give the house a clean through this morning all three of us will do a bit each so wont take long, then a bit of cooking / prep to do and out with the dogs for a walk.
I have a load in the wm which I hope will dry today, I have noticed its a lot cooler and the nights are drawing in, I love the changing of the seasons and don't have a favorite particularly as I love them all.
Camelot good news re your dgs and the test xx

Morning all.
TA, I'd be lost without my dolly-trolley. I fought against having one for ages, it seemed so....elderly, somehow. Anyway, I invested in a really good jazzy looking one and it transformed my life.
Nelski, I have the Swedish Death Cleaning book and it's excellent. I'm probably nearest to needing having it done than most of you, but I wish I'd started ages ago. Having moved from an over-stuffed, large 4 bedroomed house to a small bungalow has been, and is still being, a wake up call. I realise that a good 75% of my 'stuff' will be of no interest to my family when I've gone, and also all the things that I have bought and hoarded in the hope that I will take up new interests just aren't going to be used. It's just not going to happen.
So, the next dry day will see my front lawn littered with an array of superfluous things and a big notice - Free. Help Yourselves.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Look around. All that clutter used to be money.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.13 -
Morning all from a very soggy Wales. It's raining again and last night we had biblical amounts, the back steps were like a waterfall in full flow, thank goodness for good drainage because the request list for an "ark" is miles long.Yesterday Mr Fix It's meds didn't turn up even though the pharmacist told him it was on the van for delivery. Grrr ! If they don't arrive on Monday we'll have to go and collect them. It was a day of forgetting things for me, I've lost a bag of chocolate raisins completely, looked in all the normal places (and the abnormal ones) and I went up and down the stairs about 7 times in a row just to take the polish, a duster and a mobile phone upstairs
I made a small baked egg custard last night but Mr Fix It didn't like it...... fortunately I did, but I ate the lot
I want to do some baking again today as I found more bananas in the freezer than I anticipated, so it's banana bread and muffins for a start. I'd like try to make Monnas scone recipe again, but as usual they will probably just make great housebricks. I can't make a scone for love nor moneyOhh ! and I need to make some bread too, we will have pasta tonight with a chunk of it. It will probably be my only bread for the week as it seems to be making a difference with my digestion, no bloating !
Right enough waffling must make a start, after another coffee of course.Hester lovely to "see" you. I too read your blog although you have put me off boating for good, it seems too much like hard work !Bella how are you this morning ? Seems your Mum has come to terms with her decision and is at peace with it, which is a good thing for her. Many hugs to you and your family.TA sorry there's no let up in the lockdown. Chin up my lovely, gentle hugs coming to you, from me xxGers the Nordic way is my natural gait when walking with poles.MeanMarie sorry your op was postponed and there is no date on the next one. I hope it comes quickly.Sorry if I've forgotten anyone, my memory is getting worse by the day it seems.Take care all, hugs to those in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -
Morning everyone
been having a cuppa and a catch up - now its almost lunchtime! the sun is shining and still quite breezy so I've got my bedding out on the line - it should be nearly dry.
I've a couple of hours to myself before little one arrives so I'd better make a move and get a few jobs done.
Hope everyone has a good day11 -
Evening all,
Hester......it's lovely to see you......as usual you are busy busy. Congratulations on the new grandson.
DGD 6 is 4 today, so they came over and we had sausage rolls and cake. Was lovely to see them......they are off camping for 3 nights tomorrow, not very far away, it's their first venture so hope it goes well, DD is back to school on Thursday so it's their last opportunity for a break. The twins start school next month so their house will be very busy once again.
We were very naughty and had a Chinese takeaway for dinner, we ate less than half so there will be leftovers for tomorrow.
We are in lockdown until 6th September......not as severe as before, but is still uncomfortable......I feel that I don't want to go out at all, we are lucky that DD1. does our shopping. I'm not sure if it's the whole Covid thing or disappointment at my op delay, I am very tired and don't seem very interested in anything.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay safe.

Hester - lovely to see you posting. Again I follow your blog with interest xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.4
