I'm not denying that they have the right to confirm it's faulty, however as you said they made a mistake, I don't think the consequences of their mistake should be my problem, and I dont think making an unauthorised charge to my account is reasonable either.0

Finally got Very to admit that they had not behaved reasonably, they cleared my account and promised that it had not affected my rating at all.
Thank you for your advice, it seems that contacting the finance department and the ceo directly seems to have got results.0
