Replacing my existing central heating control

Hi all, hoping somebody could give me some advice please.
I'm in the middle on renovating my kitchen and we have a very old Potterton EP2000 central heating control (as seen in the picture). It controls our central heating and hot water and acts as a timer.
Does anyone know if this is easy to replace with a more modern looking control panel? And where I would start finding one!
Thanks very much

It looks like a very common two-channel timer. You will be able to replace it with a two-channel timer from any manufacturer. You can even replace it with a smart thermostat such as a Nest  or Hive so you can remotely control or set your heating.
Most electricians and heating engineers will be able to swap it over for you.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

It looks like it's on a standard backplate so most new units will replace it easily, for example Danfoss FP715. The new one will come with a chart explaining if any wires or links need moving. The chart may well be as clear as mud if you're not familiar with these things.
