Is there much discretion for banks to remove missed payments on credit record?

As an aside It is nonsense to as others suggest that any credit granter has to report anything
For instance my understanding is that if less than £5.00 is not paid off on a Barclaycard then no reports are made1 -

What has been said is that whatever is reported has to be accurate, which is entirely different. Not reporting anything is a matter of what's said in the contract between the lender and the CRA. If they're allowed to selectively report then that's fine. If they're not then the CRA may take action.1 -
