Staysure travel insurance for Spain

According to their website, staysure are offering cover for normal medical costs etc (non covid related) for travel to Spain even when travelling against FCO advice.

I am a little unsure as the Martin Lewis travel insurance information makes no reference to this type of cover being available. In fact it says no mainstream insurer is providing cover for countries where none essential travel is not recommended. 

I would have expected this staysure policy to be mentioned on his website as it seems to be offering some travel protection in these countries?

From my experience, I don't have much faith in any travel insurance company paying out if and when things go wrong. Their T&Cs seem to have more loopholes than a colander.

Yes, I have used them before. I had an annual travel policy a few years ago with them. 
I was just unsure why they seemed to offering cover and MSE didn't seem to be advising about it. I always expect they are on the ball with these things and would be referring to it in the guides. 
It seems genuine, so I am assuming MSE weren't aware of it perhaps, as they seem to be saying you cannot get cover for countries where the advice is not to travel. 
Maybe staysure are looking to cash in on a gap in the market.

I'm with them at the moment and it is a nightmare getting them to respond to my claims or even a compliant I submitted 6 days ago. Complete radio silence. Phones are not manned, they only direct you to their website. 
This company is an amalgamation of various different ones

If you look at their Complaints page - you write to a different company for complaints related to specific parts of your insurance. That's right, 9 different insurance companies, sold under 'Staysure'.

This is a big shame because until recently they were the 'go to' travel insurer.

Not condoning poor service but in itself there's nothing wrong with a company choosing not to centralise all admin activities after making acquisitions, so it shouldn't be difficult to pick which one of the list applies to your situation?
