Universal Credit & Housing Service Charges

Hi, all

This is all new to me, so please be gentle!
I'm filling in my Universal Credit claim form online, and have reached the Housing: Service Charges section. I rent from a housing association, and I pay no service charges. I've checked and double-checked, and on my rent statement all the service charges are listed as '£nil'. However, the claim website won't let me proceed without putting something in that field. I've tried putting zero, but it just tells me to correct it. I can't put any actual value down, because that would be a lie. I'm wary of even trying 1p as an amount, because I don't want to get sanctioned if it's picked up, even though 1p is a ridiculous amount.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Any suggestions, please?

If it does not ask you a yes/no question re service charges, then enter the service charges as £0.01, if it does not accept £0.00. The rent/service charges will be checked and corrected as necessary anyway, as UC system checks with the Housing Association automatically. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1
