Help to Buy ISA Closing Statement balance 0!

Hoping this isn't as bad as it looks like it could be...
Last week me and my partner went down to the bank (Santander) to close our help to buy ISA's. The lady at the bank who sorted this for us was new and had to ask quite a few questions about the process etc, given that her senior next to her was helping we thought all would be fine. However there was one point where she was told to ensure she requests the closing statement before moving the money into the normal savings account so we could apply for the bonus.
We presumed all had been sorted but my partners Closing statement has just come through the post with a closing balance of 0. The statement does show the full amount as being withdrawn since the last statement but I was under the impression that the closing balance should've been the full amount and this is what the solicitors use to request the bonus?
Can someone clear this up and if they have done wrong advise on what I can do?

Don't panic.
I don't know if it is right or wrong about the statement but banks are pretty good at sorting out errors like this. Worst case will be a delay while they have to look into it. If it comes to it the bank will cover any losses (ie pay the bonus amount) plus a £50 gesture or something.
Only thing I would check is that it is supposed to be you requesting to withdraw the funds rather than a solicitor?
I have a lisa and I think the solicitor needs to request funds from that, not me. But the htbisa might not be the same (or I may be wrong!)1 -
When I closed mine it was at the balance then they paid me a cheque. For some reason they said they couldn’t just transfer it to another bank account to close it.I’m sure if you go back in they will resolve it thoughMortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Thanks, I'll contact the solicitors tomorrow and see what they have to say before getting back in touch with the bank0

You should contact the bank and explain them the situation, the minimum they can do is to pay the amount due in the bonus to your account.0
