We have got another PC a friend build it and was using it himself last night we had it running and as he used it himself it has lots of programmes on already. But today the tower will not work, Not got a clue why but Im not touching it as i break things.
Anyway once we get this up and running we will need to be wireless. Our service provider is Tiscali and when it comes to helping you out they are totally C.R.A.P
What exactally and I going to need to go wireless and what do I do with it once I have got it. I am really not Tech Whiz and pretty Dumb.
Please Help.
I guess I need a wireless router but what type

good evening sarah
a wireless adsl router would be needed (you may have one? ) ltos of ISPs now give them away when you signup
and a wireless card for the machine, so a pci based wireless card or USB if you prefer,
ebuyer.com will stock what you need, go through quidco for cashback-every penny helps aye

sadly tiscali will provide new customers with a router but oe existing ones we have had this argument already with them
There is already a usb Belkin thing with the PC.
It appears to be more upto date than this PC but now we need to find out why the tower is not starting up.
Hopefully I can get my hands on a cheap Router.
Its such a farse and so complicated.0 -
not powering up, could be psu or possibly bad power cable (altho its more likely psu than cable) check the fans are all connected etc

Hi I had tiscali broadband but wanted wireless so phoned them to get a mac code. as a result they offered me a free wireless re-router for £9.99 a month. All well and good but my sons computer works well on wireless but our 2nd computer, ie. mine, doesnt??? A nightmare, i want to throw it across the room!!!!  :eek:0 -
always the way existing customers get nothing, new ones get loads
and threatening to leave or just merely saying it often does the job0 -
