Hi, I need advice, I am asking for a neighbour friend as she doesn't have internet, she is reaching pension age but she has never worked all her life but she wants to know that could she still get a pension even though she never worked?

Have they are were they married or in a civil partnership ?

She will need at least 10 years of NI credits to get any State Pension. These could have been got while receiving benefits. If it is more than three months before she reaches pension age she can request a forecast from the Future Pension service https://www.gov.uk/future-pension-centre
Need more information about her circumstances to be able to advise whether she might be entitled to anything else. What is she living off at the moment?Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.2
