We had an automatic and a manual for years and had no problem regularly going from one to the other.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

The Suzuki Swift was available with a torque converter auto, and they are a nice car, Suzukis are amongst the more reliable and well built of cars.

Just go for an auto.0

We always wanted an automatic and the MB, 25 years ago was out auto, our children all have autos as does my OH, all our cars are autos. All MB's are relaible as are the Golfs but VFM, Ford Fiesta and polo is better but it will be an older cars - many years ago smaller cars auto boxes were jokes not now but get a proper auto not one of those funny sounding one can't recall what the name is but them make a laboured humming sound. I'm not 100% but one of our at least has 9 forward gears and they are easy to drive, if you dont go a auto you will regret it, trust me.0

I've had autos for years. The only thing to watch for is the first (and only) time you press down on the "clutch" locking the wheels up, bouncing everybody off their seatbelts, and move all the junk spread around the car into the front. Everybody does it, just the once mindSwapping between manual & auto isn't a problem, except in the manual you start wondering why it hasn't changed down yet, and I find it massively slow and tedious doing all that "tickle the accelerator and feather the clutch in, then press more on the accelerator, then lift up and press down on the clutch, and mess with the gearlever" as opposed to just press and go.I do believe that electric cars drive like autos, getting one as a second car/runabout if you have a petrol car in the family as well for any long trips isn't a bad idea.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Another vote for an automatic. I don’t have enough movement in my right ankle to drive a manual any more so I was forced into an automatic- but I wouldn’t go back. Your brain does very quickly remember how to do gears if you need to switch back.0

NO THEY DON'T. I've driven autos both here and overseas and never did that, not even the first time. Maybe it's just me. After all, it's only a car! But I AM a great driver . . .Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Yet another vote for auto.
I've never done that thing that facade rambled on about.
I love an auto and I'd have one now, if I could. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
