Reverting back to Economy 7 meter from SMET2

So having installed 40kw of batteries and with 10kw of solar i asked Scottish Power to swap me from a smart meter back to a night time option. Firstly I was amazed that so called “smart meters” can’t deal with 2 rates on a digital platform but you know...you’re dealing with the dinosaurs at old power companies...
Scottish Power refused to make the change...some flannel about not being allowed by government to move people out of SMET meters...
Rang up EOn who promised so do the change “once I’d moved my standard account to them”. COVID then gets in the way of meter changing (fair enough) but I then spent 3 occasions trying to get moved with all (except Kieran on the 4th) with all the very kind operators telling me, after investigation, there wasn’t a ‘template’ allowing this change.

finally I guy who knew what he was doing made the change after 45 minutes getting His managers to um and ah about it.

Well done Kieran and finally EON for helping me save money and the planet.
