Redundancy from main job can I have a 2nd job?

I’m currently furloughed from my 40hr per week job and due to made redundant at the end of October. I’ve been offered a part-time role at a local supermarket for 16 hours per week and am happy to take it on the basis that it’s a foot through the door even though it’s a lot less than I was on before, especially as jobs seem few and far between at the moment. Is there any way that by accepting this new job I can affect my redundancy pay due to me in October?  I’ve spoken to my main employer and they've said it’s up to me to decide, so long as I could return to work if un-furloughed (which is extremely unlikely as Ive already been told my role is gone).

Just want to check there’s no loophole that my main employer could use to avoid paying me my redundancy.
