Tesco Clubcard/Hotels.com

So, back in Feb I booked a circle of hotels around Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland. I paid with around £600 in Tesco vouchers, and some top up cash. Of course, along comes Covid. The T and Cs always said no refunds of Tesco vouchers. Now, situation is that the Republic is subject to 14 days quarantine, and NI is flaring and possibly just about to cede. We therefore want to cancel, the dates for cancellation starting on 25th August. I have been in touch with Hotels.com, unhelpful, say to contact Tesco, and Tesco of course say to contact Hotels.com. The only ray of sunshine is that on the H.com website with Tescos, says that cancellations due to Covid will get Tesco points refunded in 4 weeks. Funny that neither H.com, nor Tesco seem to know. Any ideas, has anyone else been through this please?

Due to new restrictions of travel to France (to visit our daughter) I wanted to change the dates of our stay with Hotels'com, having used 110 Tesco points. I booked with "cancellation rights" only to find that they will not change the dates but will only refund element paid via credit card but not the clubcard voucher element (£330 equivalent) Has anyone had any success in challenging this ? Both parties are sympathetic and understand I have been disadvantaged - then deny its their fault !!! Any success stories of anybody gaining satisfaction in this instance would be appreciated ( The issue is that I made the booking after 31st March - but in complete good faith as no travel restrictions were in place at the time of booking ) I am determined to fight this !0
