TSB timescales

We’re ready to exchange but buyer waiting on their offer from TSB. It’s now over 5 weeks since submitting and valuation was 4 weeks ago. Last update was for some employer info last Thursday after escalating it. It’s now 7 days since that info was given, what should I be expecting in terms of reviewing that last bit? I have read things from 8 days to 26 days for TSB to review requested documents!! It’s driving me nuts now as it’s the last thing to sort out of everything.

Bumping as someone must be applying with them given how backlogged they are!

It’s taken us 3weeks and 1 day to receive our offer from TSB.

Application submitted on 29th July. Not sure when they did the valuation but it was early on. They asked for a verified marriage certificate on 10th August and offer came through today.

  • Tsb are currently around 14 working days to review anything.
  • We are actively applying with TSB, we're waiting on our valuation/offer at the moment.
    • July 2nd: Retrieved decision in principle from L&C (Broker)
    • July 30th: Offer accepted on property
    • July 31st: L&C (Broker) notified of mortgage search
    • August 1st: L&C recommended TSB/Nationwide to us
    • August 3rd: We confirmed TSB as our choice and document gathering started
    • August 6th: L&C confirmed no more documents required and awaiting TSB response
    • August 10th: TSB rejected our solicitor choice (Not on TSB's approved solicitor "panel")
    • August 11th: New solicitor instructed and details handed to L&C
    • August 12th: L&C confirm solicitor details updated and application resumed
    • August 12th: L&C mortgage login issued and progress bar available
    • August 20th: L&C call me asking for Seller details for valuation (TSB want to perform a valuation)
    • August 21st: L&C SMS saying status "Awaiting offer"
Not a simple or quick process for sure, but they are swamped at the moment. So we're happy to wait like everyone else.
I'd say it feels like TSB have an update/feedback delay of 7 days at the moment, so everything takes a week to get reviewed whenever you change/provide feedback to their questions.
     I hope this helps...

I’m not sure who our buyer is using but they supplied their info on 31st July and we’re still waiting for their offer to be approved! Last thing we’re waiting on and our seller is getting annoyed - as are we!

    Hi all,
This is my timescale so far with TSB...
    19/08/2020- DIP received
20/08/2020- Full application submitted by broker and gifted deposit letter uploaded
    20/08/2020- Hard credit search
28/08/2020- Notified by broker that valuation has been booked for 02/09/2020

I wasn’t sure if TSB completed their underwriting before the valuation but my broker said my case is in the queue to be underwritten so they will do it as soon as they can and then assess the valuation when it is back.

Anyone received an update after their valuation?
