Hi, it looks like the premier rewards no longer include free English Heritage membership, has anyone received any notification about that? It's no longer in the app or on the website. Thanks.

Yes I can see that too in the banking app, but when I click on "go to the app" it no longer works... it's not in the premier rewards app anymore. Also no longer on the website, they quietly removed it, perhaps related to c-19?

They stopped offering English Heritage free entry back at the end of March. They notified customers who had used this benefit in the past 12 months by email.

Might as well resurrect this thread as I have now recieved the e-mail telling me that the entire Premier Rewards programme is being discontinued on the 15th of December.

Their e-mail goes on to say "We’re working hard behind the scenes to improve the benefits we give you and make sure you get even more from Premier in the future." which is basically marketing speak for "we have no plans to replace it with anything at all, but phrasing it in this way will result in less angry e-mails".

I only really used the English Heritage membership anyway, but now there is no point at all to me continuing to have a premier account. :(

I’ve never really got any benefits from the account apart from the very occasional fee-free overseas transfer.
At one point they were planning some deal with Avios which would have been useful but I’ve heard nothing.
  • It's annoying that they will remove the Gourmet Society perk as well. It looks like they are letting us keep the GS membership until the end of the expiry date shown on it. Mine expires on 22 November 2020... I'm wondering if I can activate it again for one extra year when it expires. The website says we can use the Premier rewards app until 15 December.

The £500 interest-free overdraft is still there. The premier account charges no fee, so why not keep it? You can also get the blue rewards if you signed up for the scheme.

I pay a £4 monthly fee and receive triple cashback of £21 a month which I was expecting to reduce to £7 shortly.  Is this cashback being discontinued entirely?

What you're referring to is called 'Barclays Blue Rewards' and is separate from Premier Rewards. I haven't seen or heard anything from Barclays about Blue Rewards ending.
