    You don't need to measure voltage. If it lights up at the switch input but doesn't at the switch output when the switch is on, broken switch!

  • Hi everyone british gas homecare just been out and sorted my problem, it was infact the isolation switch that was broken and casuing my problem. I mentioned about whether each appliance should have its own fused switch and he said no your isolating the double plug socket which each appliance is pluged into and not the appliances itself.

    Big hugs and thankyou to all of those who replied to this thread and tried to help me out and can now get on with the mountain of washing pileing up lol and of course stop handwashing dishes and use the dishwasher yeeehaaaaaaaa lol :P :D
