Double glazing

Hi all,
have gotten a quote from a glazing company for 6 windows 2 doors £4750 (well known local business) then one from another (friend has used them well established) at £5300 (includes thicker glass on two windows to try and help with road noise.) My friend got 7 windows done by a guy local to her for only £2500 so she thinks I am being massively overcharged? I think her costs are suspiciously cheap!

It really depends on many factors such as size, number of openings, colour, glass patterning etc.

For example: I had a window in my kitchen replaced for £100, but it's small and doesn't open. My French doors were over £1000.

The number of windows and doors is not the only thing which determines the cost!

That is a fairly good website and pricing method for standard windows . Adding extras like triple or Georgian bar adds it up too much that what I would quote but seems good base for guides
