Universal Credit & Carers Allowance Backpay Question

Hello,
I claim Universal Credit and have done so since around the start of this year.
A few months ago my Mother started to claim disability, and I have taken on the role of caring for her full time.
I applied for Carers Allowance and was successful, this included back pay of 3 months. In the meantime, I also applied for the Carers Element top up to my Universal Credit which I received. However, what I was earning from my Carers Allowance was being subtracted from my Universal Credit.
It's been almost 2 months since I received my 3 months back payment from Carers Allowance
My question here is will I have to pay back the 3 months worth of back pay I received from Carers Allowance?
Thank you in advance!!

Yes any backdated Carers Allowance award not yet deducted from UC awards, will mean UC assessment periods for those backdated months will be recalculated. This may mean you owe a UC overpayment debt and you could be contacted via your journal in due course. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0

If you had previously advised UC that you were caring then they should backdate the UC carer element too in which case the overpayment will be the difference between Carer’s Allowance and the carer element not the full Carer Allowance payment.
It isn't actually necessary to claim Carer’s Allowance in order to get the carer element in UC.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
