There is clearly more to this than you're telling us so we need the full story2

What's prompted them to discover this now? A claim from a third party that went unanswered?
Can they cancel your policy...? That depends. Probably not if it's simply the wrong number.
If there's more to it than that, though, yes. And you always have to declare a cancelled policy...0 -
My drivers licence had the correct street name and post code and door number 60. They are saying I put 63 on their online application. They contacted me over the phone around 1 year 10 months telling me that they voided the policy because they couldn’t reach me at number 63.I was shocked at the time. I tried to explain to them at the time but they wouldn’t listen. I am now going back to the insurance company to complain. I can’t find my policy documents anywhere. I am certain that I put the correct door number. But I can’t find the policy’s. I have since moved away from address. I can’t get my head around before my policy started midway I had a car accident. At the time I told them I was at number 60 never once they told me that I had the a different door number. Just 1 year and 10 months later someone hit my car then they void my insurance. Under section 5 (2) of the Consumer Insurance Act 2012. Yes I am stupid I should wrote to them to complain.0

Ok did you move away before or after they contacted you as if you had moved address that may well have changed the premium and risk profile.
Otherwise it certainly feels like there is more to this story as a mistyped address number whilst careless would be unlikely to significantly alter the risk profile of the insurance.
Op rather than complaining have you triwd writing to the insurance company to explain the circumstances and ask them to review their decision?0 -
So to cut to the chase:-
1. Wrong house number on insurance document. Which was not corrected at renewal.
2. You then have an accident and insurer can't contact you. Who has settled that?
3. You then move house and fail to contact insurer to notify change of address.
4. Insurer has had enough and voided your insurance because they couldn't contact you. Was your phone number, email also incorrect or did you ignore their calls because of your accident?
This could cost you a lot of money if they decide to pursue you for their losses.

The insurance said they where trying to contact me at door number 63. I told them I don’t live there it’s 60. I was still at the address when they contacted me. I have now complained. I have sent my counter part driver license that I had previously at that address. They want to contact the individual who owns the house. They are also writing to the insurance company that I was living there. When I spoke to the insurance company they are now also saying that there is question over my NCB too. I have sent a copy of my NCB. They have come back that this the same amount of NCB that I declared. They are trying to make me go crazy in the head. Everything is being complained in writing now. Hopefully it will be sorted out sooner than later. I should have complained sooner in writing. That’s my poor judgement of this.0

Dear OP
I believed you but needed more info and you have done this. However, I'm still a bit confused. Did they not have your phone numbers and Email??
Your NCB and all of the info you supplied bar the wrong door number, is that correct?? If so, other than the stress now it will be sorted out. However, if there were bits in your ins app that can't be backed up with evidence eG NCB, your drivers licence etc, etc then there may be problems
did they take the payment?
I hope its all sorted out soon

I did give them my email and phone. But they made no contact until after 1 year and 10 months. To tell me that my Insurance was void and not to drive my car without insurance. Yes they where taking money out of my direct debit. Any accident that I had was at no fault. The other party always admitted fault.0
