New card/transferring debt

hi, so had a letter from my Credit Card company, say consistent debt and saying to move onto a payment plan. Thought to myself, ill get a 0% cc and transfer, however when I applied (probably stupidly) I thought it would tell me the limit if accepted before it went through, this wasn't the case and was accepted then told the limit.
This limit isn't big enough to transfer, however I thought I could use it by transferring some of the debt from another card onto to take advantage of the 0%transfer. And then have the original one onto the payment plan. Thoughts? Am I doing the right thing?
Thanks

Yes. 0% debt is much more fun than interest bearing debt.

Transfer as much onto 0% (bearing mind any transfer fee) then pay the min off that and as much as you can on the remaining balance on the interest baring card.
  • Thanks both, this has put my mind at ease.

First question would be is there actually any interest on the original credit card?
