Equifax

I have had a capital one credit card for over 5 Years but it has never shown on my Equifax account so companies like credit wise don't see the card. I also have my mobile on a contract and that doesn't show either. Is it the credit card company that informs Equifax or me and can I do it for free?

Not every financial institution reports every account to every credit reference agency - however I have a capital one card, and it is on my equifax report. It may be that when you opened your account, it was at a time when it was only reported to a single agency, and it may never have been changed when their internal policy changed. You could send them a secure message through your web browser to ask them why it's not on your equifax report and see how they reply.
Also, not every mobile provider reports to all CRA's - who's your provider?0
