Halifax Rewards

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to change the rewards selected when opening the account, I have just opened one and opted for leaving £5000 in to get the £5 reward but have read on this forum that you can pay off a credit card to achieve the £500 a month spend but I cannot find on Halifax online banking how this can be done.

Thank you in advance for any answers and please forgive me if this has been answered before.

I'm pretty sure once you've chosen your choice is locked in for twelve months. It's certainly how i've read the terms anyway.

You could close it and open another? If you're doing the switch incentive you might want  to wait until it's been paid. Or you could open a joint as well as?
    eta a "?"

But you'll have to make an appointment and both go into branch with ID if you want a joint account.

Thank you all for your answers, I have received the switch incentive so I will probably open a new account and downgrade or close the one I have just opened.
