Money Moral Dilemma: Should I return the refund I got for 'dead' plants I revived?

The plants should have arrived in good condition, but you could let them know you decided to plant them anyway rather than throw them away and offer to pay for them as they are now growing well, but I don't think they will accept your payment. If they are a decent company they will accept they were late delivering them and the plants were in poor condition and because you have been so honest will thank you for letting them know and tell you to keep them free of charge. I always buy my plants online as I cannot get to a garden centre and several times I have had refunds or replacements for poor quality or bare roots that just don't grow into anything, I find most online plant nurseries are very reasonable at giving refunds where necessary!!1

I think as they gave you a refund you should treat them with the same consideration. Post a review, by all means, saying how the plants arrived, but explain both the company's willingness to act decently and the outcome. The online commercial world seems full of crooks and scams at the moment - we need to reclaim honesty.0

A lot of plants don't look great when they arrive - I bought strawberries with leaves the colour of strong tea. But they came good. I'd return the refund.0

If you had ordered a toaster and it turned up scratched, dented, and generally bashed about you would definitely deserve a refund or replacement. You certainly wouldn't have bought it from a shop in that condition. But let's say you decided to fix the toaster yourself, and you got it working satisfactorily - should you then return the refund?
NO you shouldn't. The goods weren't delivered as described.0 -

When toasters rule the world and can fix themselves by themselves we should revisit this!Just my opinion, no offence 🐈0
