How do I cancel Ryanair flight to claim under insurance

I booked to go to Portugal back in December and we are due to travel on Friday. As my husband and I are in our 70s we do not feel that it is wise to go at the moment. I held of cancelling in the hope that the flight would be cancelled, but as it has not been we now wish to cancel and claim on insurance under the FCO advise not to travel to Portugal. However, I am unable to cancel the holiday on line (the option to do so is not there!) and am unable to contact anyone at Ryanair, in spite of holding on for a very long time. Presumably I need a cancellation invoice in order to claim under our insurance? Any help would be appreciated.

Does your travel insurance cover "disinclination to travel" which is what they call it of the flight takes off and you cancel or don't flyEx forum ambassador

I don't think so. As far as I am aware, I can claim either under the FCO advice not to travel or because my husband has a letter from his GP stating that he should not travel during the pandemic. Presumably then, I do need a cancellation invoice from Ryanair? If I am unable to contact them, how can I get it?0
