notice period and pay during notice period

I have been furloughed since April 1st and more recently made redundant (from 1st August). I have 3 months notice from Aug 1st. The company tells me they have extended my notice period until mid September thereafter I have to return to work until the 3 months is comlete. This will mean that I am not paid my full salary for the full 12 weeks, this seems mean when my contract clearly indicates I am entitled to 3 months notice or the financial equivalent.

I take it that you mean that they have extended your furlough, not your notice period, up until mid September?

The changes to the law on redundancy announced on 30 July relate only to statutory notice, not contractual notice.
